Horseshoe Casino's Cafe Italia

Larry and I were headed to the newly-opened Horseshoe Casino but were pretty hungry. Unfortunately all three of the restaurants had a wait of at least an hour...so we decided on Cafe Italia.

Cafe Italia is a quick-serve Italian with salads, pastas and brick oven pizzas. You order at the counter and wait for your order. There is VERY LITTLE seating with a small counter to stand at if need be.

We did get to see him make our pizza - we ordered a half and half - so we knew it was ours.

Our pizza took about 10 minutes - it was really fresh (obviously). The crust was light and airy and the sauce was tasty with chunks of tomato. The sausage was a bit too pre-made into little rabbit turds - but it was fine. All in all we really enjoyed the pizza and it was enough to share between two moderately hungry people.

And after the pizza - we hit the slots - I couldn't help but laugh when we came across Larry's Lobstermania 2! Who knew my husband had his own machine?

Why Should You Go? If you're at the casino and don't feel like waiting for an hour or paying an arm and a leg - it's a good option!
