This post brought to you by P.F. Changs. All opinions are 100% mine.
I get stumped a lot with what to buy people for Christmas! Some people are easy-peasy but others leave me scratching my head for days. The one thing I fall back on is restaurant gift cards. Everybody eats. Boom.
Right now, P.F. Chang's is having a great deal on gift cards - if you buy $100 worth - you get an extra $20 free! So you can give that to another friend - or KEEP IT FOR YOURSELF! You work hard during the holidays to make sure everybody has the perfect gift - so give one to yourself! :-)
P. F. Chang's is one of my go-to places when it comes to gift card purchases because it's good Chinese food and they have locations all across the country. That comes in handy when you've got friends and families all around the country. Another reason I love P.F. Chang's is the mix of American & Chinese food - it's a good blend of the two and it's got a lot more unique items than the corner Chinese buffets!
I'm not sure if you've been before - but let me give you some P.F. Chang's 101. The best appetizer is hands-down the lettuce wraps. It's really one of the big things they are known for. Wok-seared chicken, mushrooms, green onions and water chestnuts and diced together. A couple spoonfuls in crisp lettuce leaves and then topped with some of their signature sauce (that you can mix together so it's EXACTLY how you like it) and you're good! These are light and delicious! it's the perfect appetizer for a night out.
P.F. Chang's also has a seasonal menu that changes during the year. I love a restaurant mixing it up and adding new things on a regular basis - but it also makes it tougher to decide what to get for dinner! This fall I tried their Vietnamese Noodles with Steak & Shrimp. I have to say - this was one of my favorites. There was the perfect balance of pasta, protein & vegetables!
Then I have to share with you the most AMAZING thing on the menu at pfchangs.com. In my mind - nothing else even comes close. This is the Oolong Chilean Sea Bass. It's a line-caught sea bass marinated in Oolong tea and broiled in a ginger-soy sauce then served over spinach. My husband and I ended up sharing this and taking mine home - after one bite - I had to help him finish it off!
I hope that your drooling a little on your keyboard right now - maybe you'll decide you need to include me in your P.F. Chang's gift card giving! I won't mind a bit!
