Restaurant Review & Giveaway: Bonefish Grill's Fabulous Fall Menu

Bonefish Grill is well-known for their Bang Bang Shrimp - but they have just introduced a delicious sounding fall menu featuring things like Kobe Beef and bacon jam - along with wine pairings for each dish.

We went to the Hyde Park location across from Rookwood Commons - there is a small patio outside if the weather is nice.

While they have wine pairings for the Fall Menu items - Larry started out with a Sam Adams - that's much more his speed and they had happy hour appetizers...

We decided to get the ceviche since it was only $5 during happy hour! The ceviche has bay scallops, shrimp, fresh fish, vegetables, avocado, cucumber and jalapenos - it's like a fish salsa! If you haven't had ceviche - you're missing out!

They also brought us a loaf of fresh baked bread with olive oil and pesto - so delicious. Larry noshed on the bread while I downed the ceviche. :-)

I went for the Pan Roasted Snapper & Shrimp ($22.40) topped with grape tomatoes, cilantro, scallions, white wine and scampi sauce. It was served with herbed couscous and green beans. The wine pairing for that was very familiar to me since I had blogged about it before - none other than Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay!

The snapper was delicious! It's a very thick white fish - I hadn't realized that - the shrimp were large and tasty (although I hate the tails on!). The couscous was really great - normally it's too grainy for me but this was very soft and textured like pasta. The green beans were a little underdone for me - too crunchy. All in all - I enjoyed the snapper, shrimp and couscous very much!

Larry's first reaction is to go for the Malbec Marinated Steak - but since we were at Bonefish - he tried the seafood. His choice was the Atlantic Salmon with Bacon Jam Butter ($19.80). The salmon was wood-grilled and served with 2 side items - he chose succotash and broccoli.

The bacon jam butter was too much for Larry - he scraped most of it off (it was a thick layer) - I tasted it and liked it - but it was rich. The veggies were tasty as well. The salmon was perfect - I love salmon - it's just hard to mess it up - so yummy!

Why Should You Go? The seafood is very good at Bonefish Grill - it tastes fresh and well-seasoned. The Bang Bang Shrimp is always a great choice but that ceviche was so good (and much healthier!). We had a great dinner and can't wait to go back.

Now - it's your turn to enter and win a $25 gift card to Bonefish Grill to try their new fall menu items for yourself! Tell me your favorite fall menu item and it might be you dining there next!
