Have tried the Green Lantern (fave), Wild Mushroom, Killer Veggie, Caprice, X-Pepperoni, Socrates' Revenge, Edgar Allan Poe (fave) and Ryan's Inferno (surprisingly good). Love all their pizza, beer on tap and salad (Try the Greek, excellent). It's a little spendy if you get pizza ($20+ for large), salad ($8 for full) and beer, but the quality of the food, the staff and atmosphere are worth it. We always take out of town guest here.

I'm excited to try Troni's now from the above recommendation! We have Marion's and Donato's by our house and find them both (gasp!) mediocre.

Wondering why no one talked about my favorite pizza - the Ryan's Inferno! ... Olive Oil, Light Mozzarella Cheese, Buffalo Chicken,
Gorgonzola Cheese, Red Onion with Ranch Dressing and Celery after the Bake ... what's not to like?

Not to sound like a certain fanatical pizza lover from a certain Empire state who posts regularly on a site devoted to food that can be found whilst traveling on the road (as it were), but... while Dewey's is certainly good (though the red sauce is decidedly lacklustre in flavor), the best, absolute BEST Neapolitan/New York style pizza to be found in southwest Ohio is in a little hole-in-the-wall place by the name of Troni's, in Kettering. Eating one of their cheese pies is a damned religious experience. Plus, their pizzas are a fraction of the cost of a Dewey's pie.

VERY good pizza, really the only place to get a good za in Newport. The beers on tap are also good and they change frequently.

ps- to the hussy, love your site. Very informative and I check here first before going to a new place. Usually you are very "spot-On" !

I love Deweys.

The key to enjoying Dewey leftovers is two things.

First, the thing that is so wonderful about veggies at Dew's is that they are still crunchy/fresh on their pizzas. Unfortuantely, this translates to limp the day after. I peel off my green peppers on the second day. Any crunch veggie has to go on the re-eat.

Second, you have to reheat in an OVEN. Not a microwave, not cold.

It's not as good as the first time but it's pretty edible and I hate leftover pizza.

My only knock against them is that it is only good at the restaurant. It doesn't work as well with carryout and the pizza isn't as good second day. It is like the transcendence must be consume directly from the oven (which to be honest isn't much of a struggle since they have a fun atmosphere and a good beer selection).
