I lived in Iowa the first 59 years of my life, Mostly Pomeroy and Fort Dodge and ate a lot of MaidRites and I didn’t think this recipe was anywhere close to a real MaidRite!
I followed your recipe to the letter and it just didn’t make it! I have tried several “copycat” recipes and have yet to find a winner.
But thanks for giving me a chance.

There is an Original Maid Rite diner in Christopher, IL a few miles off of Interstate 57, Benton, IL exit. This is South of Mt Vernon, IL, and North of Marion, IL. Been there since the franchise was born.
