Established in 2011, BurgerFi is among the nation’s fastest-growing, gourmet burger chains. BurgerFi uses only 100% natural Angus beef patties and you can customize your meal with farm fresh toppings, hand-cut french fries, double-battered onion rings, craft beers and wine, and natural frozen custards concretes and shakes.
Burger Fi is located downtown at The Banks – the popular new area between the two stadiums. For me – it’s just a short walk down the hill. There are so many great new restaurants in the area – it’ll be fun to keep exploring them!
They have craft beer on tap as well – which is obviously very popular before and after the games down there. We were there on a workday for lunch so we didn’t partake. The manager (Keith) was super friendly and helpful to us and offered to bring our food out to us when it was ready. My new coworkers are quickly discovering perks of working with the Food Hussy! 😉
I’m working on these overhead shots of food and, have to say, they’re pretty fun to take – at least when they turn out. We had burgers, onion rings, fries, chicken and even a shake! And…three very happy coworkers!
The onion rings looked amazing and we could not HELP but dive into them first! The batter was light and crunchy and fresh. These were delicious!! It’s a HUGE order – so I would suggest only ordering them if you have a big crew that likes onion rings. (You can also get a “Cry + Fry” with Onion Rings & Fries – shown here!)
I got the Chicken Avocado BLT – more on that to come – while my coworkers each got burgers. I didn’t get close ups of their burgers but we went to Wahlburgers a week or so later (review to come) and both of my coworkers said they like Burger Fi’s burger better than Wahlburgers – so take that as you may.
We also ordered fries and topped them with Parmesan Garlic sauce. This was sooooo good! Reminded me a lot of the garlic parm fries at Gold Star Chili and we devoured them. You can also top your fries/rings with chili/cheese, cajun spice or salt/vinegar. They’re also fried in Peanut Oil ala Penn Station.
In addition to burgers, fries and onion rings – you can also get hot dogs! (next time!!) And if you’re in the world of Keto – you can get the burger bun-free with a lettuce wrapper.
I got the Chicken Avocado BLT and I will comfortably say – this was the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. It was so juicy – which I find is RARE with a grilled chicken breast in a “fast casual” restaurant. It was topped with a thick slice of bacon, tomato, lettuce, Burger Fi sauce and a thick slice of avocado that was breaded and fried. This sandwich is huge but sooo delicious!
Why Should You Go? My coworkers are still raving about the burgers, the fries/rings were crisp and tasty and the chicken sandwich was the best I’ve had. All around – because it’s great! You should definitely go!
