Ingredients
  

  • 3 strips bacon diced
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion diced
  • 12 oz frozen cut green beans
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tbsp salted butter
  • 4-5 drops Liquid Smoke

Instructions
 

  • Dice 3 slices bacon and half an onion into equal size pieces.
    3 strips bacon, 1/2 cup yellow onion
  • In a cast iron or a large skillet, add raw bacon over medium high heat and start to cook bacon. 
  • After 1-2 minutes of cooking bacon, when there’s a little grease from the bacon in the pan, add in chopped onion and saute until softened about 2-3 more minutes. Stirring every minute so they don’t stick.
  • Add green beans, water and cider vinegar. Lower heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes until beans are thawed and softened and liquid mixture has evaporated. 
    12 oz frozen cut green beans, 1/4 cup water, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • Add in butter and liquid smoke. Salt & pepper to taste. 
    4 tbsp salted butter, 4-5 drops Liquid Smoke
  • Stir until butter melts and serve.
