Ingredients
  

  • 5 jalapeno peppers
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp coarse sea salt

Dipping Sauce

  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions
 

  • Slice jalapeño peppers into thin slices. Toss the top and bottom of each jalapeno. Remove seeds if you want less spice - but they're not very spicy.

  • Using 3 bowls or plates, prepare the remaining ingredients. In the 1st bowl, lightly mix together flour, garlic salt & pepper. In the 2nd bowl, whisk together eggs and water. In the 3rd bowl, lightly mix panko and salt.

  • Prepare a rimmed baking tray with a wire rack lightly sprayed with nonstick spray.
  • Working in batches, toss jalapeno slices in flour mixture, then egg wash, then the panko.
  • Place peppers on the prepared baking sheet and spray with non stick spray.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and broil on High for about 6-7 minutes
  • While jalapeños bake, whisk together salsa & sour cream for a yummy dipping sauce 
    1/4 cup salsa, 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Remove chips from oven. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt and serve with dipping sauce.
