Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Wings
Frozen wings in the air fryer are so simple! There's a couple tips for seasoning them but they're done from frozen in just 20 minutes! You'll never buy those pre-cooked wings again!
Ingredients
- 1 bag frozen chicken wings
- 1-2 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
- 1-2 tbsp Tropical Sazon
Instructions
- Place the frozen wings in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 400 for 10 minutes
- Open air fryer and sprinkle with 1 tbsp of each seasoning
- Flip wings and sprinkle with remaining seasoning
- Air fry at 400 for an additional 10 minutes
- Serve with ranch or more seasoning!
Notes
Can you marinate or brine frozen wings?
No – here’s the thing that’s a little difficult in working with frozen wings – nothing is going to stick or soak in. So you’re best to go with a dry rub seasoning that you sprinkle on mid-air fry.
How long do frozen uncooked wings take in the air fryer?
20 minutes at 400 from freezer to plate!
How long do pre-cooked frozen wings take in the air fryer?
12 minutes at 375 from freezer to plate
Can you stack chicken wings in the air fryer?
Somewhat – but I wouldn’t fill the air fryer with them. You could do a full layer on the bottom and stagger a few on top.
What’s your favorite chicken wing seasoning?
Historic BBQ is my favorite for any chicken or pork – 100%. For this recipe, I was out of Historic – so I used a combo of Tropical Sazon and Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning.
Do I need to preheat my air fryer?
Nope – I never do!
Can you put aluminum foil in an air fryer?
Yes – but I don’t find it necessary. If you do – be sure to poke a bunch of holes so the air gets through since that’s the point of an air fryer.
