Ingredients

Chophouse Steakburger Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef 85/15
  • 2 tsp Seasoning Salt Freddy's or Lawry's
  • 1/2 sweet onion sliced and separated
  • 4 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 slices white cheddar
  • 2 potato buns

A1 Chop House Burger Sauce

Instructions

A1 Sauce

  • Mix together A1, Mayo and Garlic Powder
    2 tbsp A1 Sauce, 2 tbsp Duke's mayonnaise, 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Refrigerate until burgers are ready to serve

Mushroom & Onion Preparation

  • Heat skillet and add oil
    2 tbsp olive oil
  • Add onions, mushrooms and garlic powder
1/2 sweet onion, 4 oz mushrooms, 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Saute 4-6 minutes until onions are carmelized
  • Sprinkle with Freddy’s Steakburger & Fry Seasoning
  • Set aside until burgers are ready

Freddy's Steakburger Preparation

  • Divide beef into four 1/4 lb patties
    1 lb ground beef
  • Heat griddle to high heat setting
  • Add patties to the griddle and space them far apart
  • Sprinkle all burgers with Seasoning Salt
    2 tsp Seasoning Salt
  • Smash steakburgers! On the first side, roll the spatula around the edges of the burger patties - putting pressure on the edges of the burger. You're leaving the middle thicker. Thin edges = cripsy edge, thicker middle = juicy burger!
  • Flip the burgers and sprinkle more seasoning mixture on top.
  • Keep smashing to get those crispy edges with the back of the spatula
  • Add slice of cheese to each patty and melt for 1 minute - you can place a cookie sheet or a pan lid over top of the cheese to help it melt
    4 slices white cheddar
  • Toast hamburger bun on the griddle for 1 minute
    2 potato buns

Copycat Freddy’s A1 Chop House Steakburger

  • Remove buns from griddle
  • Top with two steakburgers with melted cheddar
  • Add a heaping spoonful of sauteed mushrooms & onions
  • Spoon your A1 Chop House Sauce over top of all of that deliciousness!
  • Top with your bun top!
  • Enjoy with skinny fries and some Freddy’s Famous Fry Sauce!
