3/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup butter

  • Spread the batter over berry filling in baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, stir together 1/2 cup white sugar, cornstarch and a pinch of salt
1/2 cup sugar, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 1/16 tsp salt
  • Sprinkle sugar mixture evenly over batter
  • Pour 1/4 cup boiling water over ALL of sugar – be sure to cover every grain of sugar! This is where the magic happens!
    1/4 cup boiling water
  • Bake at 375º for 45 minutes (or until the cobbler topping is done – test like you do cake – toothpick in the center – if it comes out clean – it’s done – top should be golden brown)
  • Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
