This Triple Berry Cobbler is a delicious dessert that is great for any special occasion or summertime party! I love how the tartness of the berries pairs with the sweet sugary crust!

What You Will ❤️ About Triple Berry Cobbler

  • Vibrant! The color is vibrant and so is the flavor! Those berries will burst in your mouth!
  • Family Recipe! This is based on my mom’s recipe that she says came from some relative on the wagon train. Not sure I believe that one…haha
  • Easy! This is literally a super simple recipe to make – fruit in the ban and top with batter – then bake!

Triple Berry Cobbler Ingredients

This easy dessert has very simple ingredients – other than the berries – all the ingredients are likely pantry staples.

  • Frozen Triple Berry Medley + Blueberries – you can use any mixture you want – this had blueberries, raspberries & blackberries. I just love blueberries so I added more to the mix.
  • Granulated White Sugar – you can use light or dark brown sugar for a little richer taste in the batter
  • Butter – I always use salted – but unsalted is fine – it doesn’t really make a difference in the flavor
  • Salt
  • All Purpose Flour
  • Baking Powder
  • Milk – any type of milk is fine for this one
  • Cornstarch
  • Water

Recipe Variations

While I love this recipe – you can definitely switch it up! Here are some ways to change up this recipe:

  • Canned/Fresh Fruit – This recipe uses frozen fruit – you can use canned or fresh fruit. If using canned, be sure to drain the fruit of its excess juices (like with canned peaches). Fresh berries work great in this recipe as well!
  • Peaches – Peach Cobbler is my original favorite and its so delicious!
  • Individual Cobblers – use your air fryer to make individual peach cobblers so everyone can have their own!
  • Smoked – use your Dutch Oven and smoke the cobbler on your Traeger for a hint of smokiness!
  • Apples – Apple Cobbler is also delicious – you can use fresh or canned apples!

How to make Triple Berry Cobbler Recipe

I have always loved how easy this recipe is to make! Frozen fruit comes right out of the bag and the rest goes together in ten minutes!

  1. Spray 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray and preheat oven to 375º
  2. Pour frozen berries into baking dish and mix berries together.
  3. In a large bowl, add sugar and softened butter. Using a mixer, cream the sugar and butter until it becomes a smooth mixture.
  4. Add salt, flour, baking powder and milk to make a batter. Iif your batter isn’t spreadable – add a little more milk.
  5. Spread the batter over berry filling in baking dish.
  6. In a small bowl, stir together white sugar, cornstarch and a pinch of salt
  7. Sprinkle sugar mixture evenly over batter
  8. Pour 1/4 cup boiling water over ALL of sugar – be sure to cover every grain of sugar! This is where the magic happens!
  9. Bake at 375º for 45 minutes (or until the cobbler topping is done – test like you do cake – toothpick in the center – if it comes out clean – it’s done – top should be golden brown)
  10. Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Cobbler FAQs

What is Triple Berry Mix?

The triple berry mix is made up of blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.

Can I make cobbler the night before?

I would suggest that prepping the cobbler to the point where you spread the sugar on top and then bake fresh. But if you just can’t – then yes you can bake the night before and reheat in the oven for 20 minutes.

Why is my cobbler soupy?

Likely there was too much juice in with the fruit. If using canned fruit, be sure to drain the juices completely.

How do you store and reheat leftover cobbler?

Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass ones) in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can freeze up to three months. Reheat individual portions in the microwave for 1.5 minutes.

This sounds so delicious and I would love to make it.
I have a wheat allergy, so was wondering what amount of almond or coconut flour could be used to replace the wheat flour?

I don’t know from use – but friends tell me you can use almond flour in a 1:1 ratio for regular all purpose flour
