This Longhorn Salmon recipe is so easy to make and delicious to boot! Lightly marinated in bourbon and brown sugar with a little Asian flare - this salmon is a menu favorite!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb salmon fillets sliced into 2-4 slices
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp bourbon
  • 3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger peeled & grated
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 cup green onions thinly sliced

Instructions
 

  • Pour brown sugar, bourbon, soy sauce, ginger, lime juice & garlic into a large zip-top plastic bag and combine. Remove 1/4 cup for drizzle at the end.
    4 tbsp brown sugar, 4 tbsp bourbon, 3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce, 1 tbsp fresh ginger, 2 tbsp lime juice, 3 garlic cloves
  • Add fish to bag, seal. Marinate for 4 hours in refrigerator
    1 lb salmon fillets
  • You could also marinade in a shallow bowl vs a bag
  • Heat grill pan or skillet on high and add canola or olive oil
  • Remove fish from marinade and place skin side in the pan
  • Cook fish 4 min on each side, or until center of salmon is 140º when tested with instant read thermometer
  • Place 1 fillet on each plate, drizzle with 2 tsp sauce and garnish with green onions
    1/4 cup green onions
