Olive Garden Garlic Herb Sauce

Olive Garden just announced a new sauce to their Pasta Sauce lineup and I was there to try it the first week! The new Olive Garden Garlic Herb Sauce is available nationwide and is a deliciously LIGHT sauce full of garlic, herbs and a little bit of creamy texture.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 10 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 oz. Italian Dressing Mix package
  • 1 tbsp Rosemary crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 3 tbsp parsley finely chopped
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1/2 lb spaghetti

Instructions
 

  • In a large pasta pot, boil water with 1 tbsp salt. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions.

  • In a large skillet, over medium high heat, melt butter. Add garlic and stir for 30 seconds until fragrance emits.

  • Add rosemary, Italian dressing mix, salt & pepper and whisk.

  • Add flour and whisk. Quickly add white wine and whisk so there are no clumps. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.

  • Add chicken broth, half and half and mayonnaise. Whisk in until mayo is incorporated.

  • In a small glass, mix water and cornstarch with a fork and add to sauce.

  • Simmer until sauce starts to thicken, 5-10 minutes.
  • Add 2 tbsp parsley and whisk to incorporate.

  • Squeeze lemon juice from 1/2 lemon over sauce and serve over spaghetti with freshly grated Parmesan. Serve with a side of fresh bread sticks and take a little extra sauce out before mixing pasta in as a savory dip!
