Roasted Garlic in the air fryer is so easy and has so many uses! Roasting the garlic mellows the flavor and makes this delicious almost buttery paste that you can use in so many ways!
First step - take the whole head of garlic and cut off the top of the garlic bulbs (the root end) so each of the cloves in their paper are "exposed".
2 heads garlic
Next, put the cut bulb into the center of a piece of aluminum foil and curve the sides up around it to make a basket
Then place the bulb, exposed side up, into the foil basket.
Drizzle olive oil, salt and pepper over the bulb.
2 tsp olive oil, salt, pepper
Place the tin foil packet into the air fryer basket and air fry at 400 for 25-30 minutes. It may take a little longer depending on the size of your garlic bulbs. If you've got small heads of garlic, it may only take 20 minutes.
You'll know the bulbs are done if they're soft when you poke them with a knife.
You can pop them out of their little sleeves with a small spoon.
