Air Fryer Hot Dogs

Hot Dogs in an air fryer are game changing! They're cooked perfectly and taste like they're meant to taste - juicy, meaty - so good! I'll never make hot dogs another way!

I like to cook actual dishes in the air fryer - but sometimes - I'm tired and hungry and don't really want to make much effort. Throwing a couple dogs in the air fryer is a go-to lunch in my house!

Can you make hot dogs in an air fryer?

Yes!!! OMG - seriously - you'll never make them another way! They taste more like grilled hot dogs but without the burnt parts! I would buy an air fryer just for how great it cooks hot dogs!

How long to cook hot dogs in the air fryer?

This depends on the size of your hot dog. The ones I'm using are giant - they're made by my friends at Queen City Sausage here in Cincinnati and they're more sausage than dog - but I love them!

These giant ones take 7 minutes at 350. But if you're just using normal hot dogs - 5 minutes at 350 is enough. If you're doing more than 4 - than I would add a couple of minutes.

Let's also talk toppings! I love Woeber's Mustard - they're made right here in Southern Ohio in Springfield. They just introduced a new Mrs Mustard which is a spicy honey mustard to go with their already well-known Mr Mustard! I got to do a Woeber's factory tour of Woeber's a couple years ago (and hug a giant mustard and a giant vat of ranch) and love their products!

What to serve with Air Fryer Hot Dogs?

I like tater tots or crispy crowns and - depending on the size of your air fryer - you can make your tots at the same time (they take longer than the dogs) - I always put my Potato Ole Seasoning on them! You can also never go wrong with Macaroni & Cheese - especially this amazingly creamy mac & cheese! You'll love it!
