Air Fryer Corn on the Cob Recipe Ingredients
Super simple ingredients here – corn & butter! Jazz it up with herbs & spices if you like – or stick with salt & pepper.
- Corn on the Cob – fresh sweet corn is always the best! Once it comes off the stalk, it starts to lose its flavor so buying corn locally and using within a day of purchase is always best.
- Butter – of course if you’re having corn on the cob – you need butter!
- Salt & Pepper – personally, I just need salt but most folks like a dash of fresh ground black pepper as well.

How to make Air Fried Corn on the Cob with foil
Air Frying corn on the cob in foil takes all the mess out of it. Here’s what to do:
- Shuck the corn and remove and discard husk and silks. Place each ear of corn in a piece of aluminium foil. Place 1 tbsp butter in the center of each ear and wrap tightly with a sheet of aluminum foil.
- Place corn in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 380º for 6 minutes. Turn corn and air fry at 380º for an additional 6 minutes.
- Remove cooked corn from air fryer but let rest in foil at least 5 minutes before uncovering and serving.
- Open the foil and using a basting brush, brush the melted butter over the entire ear of corn and sprinkle with salt & pepper.

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Yes – you definitely can. Frozen corn will take the same amount of time as noted here for the fresh corn (12 minutes).
You can remove the corn kernels from the cob by standing the cob on the end and using a sharp knife. Cut the kernels as close to the center of the ear as possible.
I wouldn’t recommend as the olive oil will leave the corn greasy and over power the corn.
Place any remaining foil-wrapped ears of corn in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. (You can place the foil wrapped ears in an airtight container or a zipper storage bag if you like.)
Reheating leftovers is simple! Cook in the air fryer at 350º for 5-7 minutes. You can also remove ears from foil and microwave for 80 seconds.

- Elote – top your corn on the cob with a drizzle of mayonnaise, a sprinkle of chili powder, grated Parmesan cheese and a squeeze of lime juice for a quick version of the Mexican corn dish Elote.
- Additional toppings: cotija cheese, cayenne pepper, chopped cilantro
- Frozen Corn – you can also just pop frozen corn cobs in the air fryer the same way as this fresh version! Same cooking prep and same cooking time!
- Garlicky – instead of regular salt – sprinkle with garlic powder and parsley for a different flavor profile!
