Ingredient for Blackstone Griddle Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon Rolls on the Blackstone are super simple and only require one ingredient:

  • Can of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls – that’s all you need – although you might wanna grab a couple cans – I got the Grands just to make sure they were BIG!

You can use any kind of cinnamon rolls – obviously – the smaller the roll – the smaller the smash.

How to make Smashed Blackstone Cinnamon Rolls

As with most Blackstone recipes – it goes quick! I highly recommend using LOW HEAT! A couple of my cinnamon rolls were a little crispier than I would have liked (but Icing fixes that!).

  1. Heat griddle on medium – keep the flame low!
  2. Sprinkle light coat of oil across griddle
    • You can also use butter or bacon grease for more flavor
  3. Open cinnamon roll tube and lay down canned cinnamon rolls across preheated griddle leaving plenty of space between them for pressing
  4. Using a heavy spatula or burger press, press cinnamon rolls flat on the first side.
    • Best to lay a sheet of parchment paper on each roll before pressing so they don’t stick. If you don’t have that – just use another griddle spatula to slip off.
  5. Heat for 1-2 minutes and flip when golden brown. WATCH CLOSELY as they cook super fast! Cooking times will vary slightly based on the thickness of the cinnamon roll.
  6. Heat for 1-2 minutes more until that side is golden brown perfection.
  7. Remove cinnamon rolls and drizzle with icing

How do you store and reheat leftover cinnamon rolls?

Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass ones) in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. Reheat in the microwave for 30-60 seconds.

Can I make extra frosting?

Sure! Make those more gooey cinnamon rolls by adding icing! Here’s an easy recipe: Glaze – mix together these ingredients and you’re done!
