Air Fryer Baby Carrots are a delicious side dish everyone will love! It’s got a little sweet, a little savory and a little spicy and it’s done in less than 15 minutes! And come on – who doesn’t love a little syrup with dinner?!

What You Will ❤️ About Air Fryer Baby Carrots
- Tender! I wasn’t sure the carrots would really get tender in less than 15 minutes but they did! And the best part is you have roasted carrots in HALF the time as you would in the oven!
- Sweet & Spicy – it’s a great combo everyone loves. The maple syrup pairs well with the Ancho Chili Powder and you can make it as sweet or spicy as you like!
- Tastes Delicious – I love the flavor of maple syrup and chili powder together – and you can make it as spicy as you like – the seasoning blend I’m using is fairly mild – so amp it up all you want!

This recipe was made using the Paula Deen Air Fryer.

Ingredients for Baby Carrots in the Air Fryer
This is a new and fun way to turn baby carrots into a tasty sweet & spicy side dish! No more cold carrots with dip!! Pop these guys in warm & spicy syrup! Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 lb baby carrots
- 2 tbsp olive oil – feel free to swap out other oils like vegetable or avocado oil – or even melted butter!
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp coarse sea salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- Chili Maple Sauce
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp ancho chili powder

Recipe Variations
If you’re not sure maple syrup is for you – here are some recipe swaps for ways you can make it your own!
- Seasonings – if you’re not a fan of sweet & spicy – you can just go with olive oil & seasonings like cumin, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, onion powder & parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese
- Sweet Alternatives – swap out syrup and do a hot honey with honey + red pepper flakes
- Spicy Alternatives – you could also go with chipotle in adobo or even something like sriracha mixed with the syrup!
- Fresh Herbs – I have a mini-herb garden with fresh rosemary and thyme – they would be great in your carrots – so much more aroma and flavor when using fresh herbs! Finish off with parmesan & a sprinkle of lemon juice or balsamic vinegar.
