<p>I used my <a href="https://www.thefoodhussy.com/recipe-peach-cobbler/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mom&#8217;s peach cobbler recipe</a> for this Smoked Cobbler and it came out perfect! Here&#8217;s what you&#8217;ll need to make it: </p>

<li><strong>Peaches</strong> &#8211; You can use frozen, fresh or canned. I recommend FROZEN for ease of use. If using CANNED, be sure to drain the peaches!</li>



<li><strong>Cobbler:</strong>&nbsp;Sugar, unsalted butter, salt, all purpose flour, baking powder, milk

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Make Smoked Peach Cobbler</h2>



<p>This recipe is super easy on the Traeger! You can speed up the cook time if you raise the temp to 300º or higher &#8211; but you won&#8217;t get as much of the smoke flavor into the cobbler. </p>



<ol class="wp-block-list">
<li>Preheat Traeger (or your smoker) to 250º. Spray cast iron Dutch oven with nonstick spray and spread peach slices across bottom of pan. </li>



<li>In medium mixing bowl, cream sugar &amp; softened butter so sugar is fully incorporated and mixture is fluffy and creamy.  </li>



<li>Add dry ingredients (salt, flour, baking powder) and milk and stir to make a batter. If batter is super thick, add 1-2 tbsp more milk. </li>



<li>Spread batter over fruit in Dutch oven. </li>



<li>In a small bowl, mix together sugar, corn starch and salt. Sprinkle over top of batter. </li>



<li>Pour 1/4 cup boiling water over all of the sugar on top of the batter. Be sure all sugar is coated with water. </li>



<li>Smoke on Traeger at 250º for 4 hours or until cobbler cake topping is golden brown. Check doneness with a toothpick &#8211; it should come out clean when the center is cooked.

<li>You can speed up the cooking time by increasing the temperature. 300º would take 2 hours, 350º would take 1-1.5 hours. </li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Remove from Traeger and let cool. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped topping!</li>

I keep it simple and always use the <a href="https://amzn.to/3EMDTEy">Traeger Signature Blend</a> which is a blend of Maple and Cherry. That said if you’re looking for something specific for desserts – use woods with a hint of sweetness like <strong>Pecan, Apple and Cherry.</strong></p> </div> <div class="schema-faq-section" id="faq-question-1674751114334"><strong class="schema-faq-question">Is it better to use fresh, frozen or canned peaches for cobbler? </strong> <p class="schema-faq-answer">I recommend frozen because they&#8217;re so easy and always delicious. <p>My mom used to make peach cobbler for me with this cake topping and a sugar crust that is the absolute best! It&#8217;s so simple and you can make it with any kind of peaches &#8211; fresh, frozen or canned. </p>



<p>The sweet peach filling is truly the star of this dish &#8211; it&#8217;s not loaded with sugar and let&#8217;s the natural sweet taste of the peach shine through. The cake-like topping is light and fluffy. Everybody will love these little mini cobblers!</p>

<p>Peach Cobbler is a dessert I&#8217;ve made many times &#8211; and it&#8217;s pretty much all right out of your pantry. I love the flexibility too &#8211; you can use pretty much any fruit you like! </p>



<p>Here&#8217;s what you&#8217;ll need to make peach cobbler for two: </p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>1&nbsp;cups&nbsp;sliced peaches&nbsp;&#8211; You can use frozen, fresh or canned peaches. I recommend frozen or fresh. If using canned, be sure to drain them thoroughly. If using fresh peaches, be sure to peel them. <ul><li>I wouldn&#8217;t recommend peach pie filling &#8211; that extra &#8220;goo&#8221; isn&#8217;t necessary. The peaches make their own yum under the cake topping. </li></ul></li><li>3 tbsp sugar&nbsp;&#8211; you can use granulated or brown sugar</li><li>2 tbsp&nbsp;softened butter &#8211; salted or unsalted &#8211; either works<ul><li>Don&#8217;t use melted butter, it won&#8217;t mix with the sugar correctly. </li></ul></li><li>1/2 tsp vanilla</li><li>1/8&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;<a href="https://amzn.to/2VwtMjm">salt</a></li><li>1/4&nbsp;cup&nbsp;flour</li><li>1/4&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;baking powder</li><li>2 tbsp&nbsp;milk</li><li>2 tbsp&nbsp;sugar&nbsp;&#8211; again, either granulated sugar or brown sugar works</li><li>1/2&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;cornstarch</li><li>pinch&nbsp;<a href="https://amzn.to/2VwtMjm">salt</a></li><li>1/8&nbsp;cup&nbsp;boiling water</li></ul>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make Peach Cobbler in the Air Fryer</h2>



<p>As noted above, the recipe makes two mini-cobblers. Feel free to double and make four  &#8211; the prep and cook time won&#8217;t change. Let&#8217;s get started!</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Spray ramekins with nonstick cooking spray&nbsp;</li><li>Arrange sliced peaches in bottom of ramekins</li><li>In a medium bowl, cream 3 tbsp sugar, butter and vanilla using a hand mixer – sugar will be fully incorporated into butter and it will be creamy like softened butter</li><li>Add dry ingredients (salt, flour, baking powder) and milk to make a batter&nbsp;and mix. If your batter isn’t spreadable – add a little more milk</li><li>Spread the batter over fruit</li><li>In a separate bowl, stir 2 tbsp sugar, cornstarch and a pinch of salt <ul><li>Feel free to add a teaspoon of ground cinnamon here if you like!</li></ul></li><li>Sprinkle sugar mixture evenly over batter</li><li>Microwave 1/8 cup water for 1 minute so it&#8217;s boiling</li><li>Pour boiling water over ALL of sugar – this is where the MAGIC happens!Be sure to drizzle the water over all of the sugar so every grain is covered with water!</li><li>Cover ramekin with foil and place in air fryer basket. Air fry at 375 for 10 min. Remove foil and air fry 5 min more.<ul><li>After testing, the cobbler browned too quickly without the foil. So be sure to secure the foil underneath the ramekin so it doesn&#8217;t blow off. </li></ul></li><li>Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and serve! <br></li></ul>
