What You Will Love About Air Fryer Bananas
Here’s the thing – I don’t like bananas. Like I REALLY don’t like bananas. I love the taste of bananas but I HATE the texture of bananas. I can honestly say – I’ve never eaten a whole banana – even as a kid – UNTIL NOW! Adding brown sugar and cinnamon completely enhances the natural sweetness and transformed this banana into a magical delicious dessert!!!
This recipe is also gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free!

Air Fryer Banana Ingredients
You don’t need to add much to a banana – let the flavors shine through – just with a little help. Here’s what you need:
- bananas – I’ve done this with nearly green bananas and with over-ripe bananas – it works no matter what!
- brown sugar – just a touch of brown sugar crumbled over the banana
- cinnamon – a sprinkle of cinnamon to finish it off

How to Make Bananas in the Air Fryer
This is a super simple dessert or a tasty treat for breakfast – here’s how you make it:

- If doing more bananas than will fit in a single layer, cook them in batches.
- Coat each half with brown sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Hit them with a quick spritz of cooking spray.
- Air fry at 380ºF for 6-8 minutes. (6 if your bananas are over ripe)
- Remove bananas from air fryer.

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Either! Just shorten the cooking time the more ripe your bananas are. The air fryer will soften them.
6-8 minutes – depending on the ripeness of your banana. 6 minutes for really ripe, 8 minutes for nearly green.
If you want to slow the ripening – yes – put them in the fridge.
I haven’t found a fruit you CAN’T put in the air fryer! I’ve done peaches, plums, apples, berries, pineapple and more!
Nah. Don’t do it. Just make what you’ll eat at the time. They’ll get too mushy to reheat.
