What You Will Love About Air Fryer Bananas

Here’s the thing – I don’t like bananas. Like I REALLY don’t like bananas. I love the taste of bananas but I HATE the texture of bananas. I can honestly say – I’ve never eaten a whole banana – even as a kid – UNTIL NOW! Adding brown sugar and cinnamon completely enhances the natural sweetness and transformed this banana into a magical delicious dessert!!!

This recipe is also gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free!

Air Fryer Banana Ingredients

You don’t need to add much to a banana – let the flavors shine through – just with a little help. Here’s what you need:

  • bananas – I’ve done this with nearly green bananas and with over-ripe bananas – it works no matter what!
  • brown sugar – just a touch of brown sugar crumbled over the banana
  • cinnamon – a sprinkle of cinnamon to finish it off

Tips, Tricks & FAQs

Does this work with under ripe or over ripe bananas?

Either! Just shorten the cooking time the more ripe your bananas are. The air fryer will soften them.

How long do you air fry bananas?

6-8 minutes – depending on the ripeness of your banana. 6 minutes for really ripe, 8 minutes for nearly green.

Should I keep my bananas in the refrigerator?

If you want to slow the ripening – yes – put them in the fridge.

What fruit can you put in the air fryer?

I haven’t found a fruit you CAN’T put in the air fryer! I’ve done peaches, plums, apples, berries, pineapple and more!

How do you store and reheat leftovers?

Nah. Don’t do it. Just make what you’ll eat at the time. They’ll get too mushy to reheat.
