What You Will ❤️ About Waffle Fries in the Air Fryer
- Nooks & Crannies – I love all the little holes in Waffle Fries – you get more spots for ranch dressing to load up!
- Quick Side Dish – Whatever your lunch or dinner, air fryer french fries are quick to make and delicious.
- Loaded Fries – Add lots of toppings to make a fancy loaded fries dish like you’d have at your favorite sports bar.

Ingredients for Air Fryer Frozen Waffle Fries
Okay – this isn’t tough – you need Frozen Waffle Fries! You can use regular or sweet potato waffle fries. If you’re looking for a good brand – Alexia is very delicious – but Aldi fries are great too!

This recipe was made using the Paula Deen Air Fryer.

French Fry Topping Ideas
My loaded fries might be basic but they taste amazing but you can get more creative with them too! Here are some of my favorite ideas to load up those potatoes:
- Crack Fries – Bacon (or bacon bits), Cheddar, Ranch & Scallions for extra flavor
- Med Fries – Feta, Greek Olives, Tzaziki
- Nacho Fries – Cheese Sauce, Salsa, Sour Cream, Jalapenos
- Buffalo – Blue Cheese, Diced Celery, Buffalo Wing Sauce, Ranch Dressing
- Sweet Potato Fries – cinnamon, sugar, powdered sugar icing

How to make waffle fries in the air fryer
Open bag and you’re pretty much done! Here’s what you’ll do:
- Open bag of frozen fries
- Pour fries into air fryer basket in a single layer – some overlap is ok – but not too much. Depending on the size of your air fryer – you may have to do a 2nd batch if you’re making the whole bag.
- Cook waffle fries at 350º for 12 min. Open tray and shake fries halfway thru.
- Serve with salt, black pepper and ketchup.
- If making cheese fries, sprinkle shredded cheese over cooked fries and air fry at 250º for an additional 3 min cooking time to melt cheese.

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass ones) in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Only if your air fryer requires it. If it does – check fries 1-2 minutes earlier. You can always add time – you cannot unburn your fries!
Of course – lower the heat to 250º so you’re not burning them and air fry for 3-4 minutes.
