This Buffalo Ranch Dressing is my new favorite dressing! It’s got the zing of ranch and the zip of Buffalo. Plus – it makes enough seasoning so you can make more delicious ranch dressing (with or without the Buffalo) later.
I started buying these salad kits and the Buffalo Ranch is my favorite! After buying it so many times, I decided to make my own Buffalo Ranch Dressing and it’s even better than store-bought (of course!) I also like to keep the dressing thick so I can use it for dipping too!
What’s in Buffalo Ranch Dressing?
First – you have to start with Ranch Dressing! I like to make my own seasoning mix and add it to mayo & sour cream. This gives me more flexibility in making it how I like it. Here’s what you need for the Ranch Seasoning Mix:
- Buttermilk powder
- Parsley
- Chives
- Onion Powder
- Dill Weed
- Garlic Salt
- Garlic Powder
- Black Pepper
Then, to make the dressing you’ll need:
- Ranch Seasoning Mix
- Duke’s Mayonnaise
- Sour Cream
- Buffalo Wing Sauce
- Milk
How do you make Buffalo Ranch Dressing?
Once you whisk together your dry ingredients – you’re all set to make your dressing.
- In a small mixing bowl, add mayo, sour cream and ranch seasoning mix
- Whisk together
- Add Buffalo Wing Sauce
- Mild spice level – 2 tbsp wing sauce
- Medium – 3 tbsp wing sauce
- Spicy – 4 tbsp wing sauce
- If you’re using this as a dip – stop there – it’s nice and thick!
- If you’re using this as a salad dressing, add milk 1-2 tbsp at a time until desired consistency
- Store in air-tight container in refrigerator
Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Whatever you like – whether it be Frank’s Red Hot or a Buffalo Wing Sauce that is a little creamier. I used Kroger brand wing sauce – I like it better.
Air-tight in a jar/bottle in the refrigerator
Up to 2 weeks
Mild – use 2 tbsp Buffalo sauce, Medium – 3 tbsp, Spicy – 4 tbsp
Sure! Hidden Valley comes in a jar you can buy – I always have that around too and add it to dishes all the time.
Sure! Just skip to the step where you just add in Buffalo Wing Sauce – 1 cup of ranch dressing with 3 tbsp Buffalo Wing Sauce – no milk needed.
This will make about 8 tablespoons of seasoning mix
2 tbsp of ranch seasoning makes 1 cup of dressing. So the seasoning mix will make 4 cups of ranch dressing. I recommend just making 1 cup at a time unless you have an event.
