This Copycat Chuy’s Creamy Jalapeno Ranch recipe is ready in 5 minutes and is so much better than anything out of a bottle! Chuy’s is one of my favorite spots for dining out. I tried their Creamy Jalapeno Ranch and HAD to come home and make it for myself!

Besides their Creamy Jalapeno Ranch – I also LOVE their Tres Leches Cake so much I made it for myself too! But the rest of their menu is great too – tacos, nachos, salads and fajitas – Tex Mex deliciousness.

How to make Chuy’s Jalapeno Ranch?
It’s super easy – in a bowl mix together mayonnaise (I always use Duke’s), buttermilk, ranch seasoning packet, juice from 1-2 limes (depending on your taste preference), 1 grated jalapeno (seeds and all – just grate it on the tiny grate right in the bowl) and a little hot sauce. Whisk it all together and pour into a mason jar. Homemade jalapeno ranch is done!
I like to make it the night before I’m going to use it so it has a chance to meld together then you can add anything you need. I did 1 lime and 1 jalapeno and wanted more – so I added a 2nd lime and some hot sauce. You could also do a spicier pepper if you really want spice in there!

Is there cilantro or sour cream in Chuy’s Jalapeno Ranch?
No! I did dice up some cilantro on the items I served with the ranch – but in the dressing itself is the ranch seasoning mix, mayo, buttermilk, jalapeno and hot sauce. That’s it! The texture of this is a dressing – and not as thick as a “dip”. If you like your ranch thicker – add a little more mayo and less buttermilk. If you like your ranch dressing thinner – then add more buttermilk and less mayo.

So this ranch is delish – and it’s great to dip veggies in (like my Jalapeno Fries – recipe coming soon!) but it’s also great on salads. Here are a few favorite salads that would taste great with this jalapeno ranch recipe:

I enjoy the heat from jalapenos and I’m definitely going to try this recipe!
This ranch dressing is super easy to make and turns out great every time!! I love the kick it has from the jalapenos and hot sauce too!
This recipe sounds so simple and great. Would make for a fun twist at our next fiesta themed night on a salad side dish. Bet it would taste great next to some BBQ chicken thighs too, yum!
Really great dressing!! Thanks for the fantastic recipe!
What hot sauce did you use for this recipe?
I used Tapatio hot sauce the first time, Frank’s Red hot the second – but really whatever is in your fridge will work!
