🔍 COPYCAT SECRETS UNCOVERED!
Oh so many secrets in the Dunkin Wake Up Wrap!
- “Fried Eggs” – Dunkin Donuts definitely microwaves their fried eggs. It just makes a different texture on the whites – sort of more stryofoam-y – and that’s not from a flat-top.
- Wrapped slice of American cheese – I would choose Land O’Lakes all day – but they use the wrapped slices.
- Precooked bacon – again – not my choice but you can tell by looking at it – it’s precooked.

Dunkin Donuts Wake Up Wrap Ingredients
All the usual suspects for these Wake Up Wraps – but you can’t go wrong with any of them! Plus with eggs & bacon/sausage – you’ve got a double dose of protein for this perfect breakfast! You’ll need:
- Tortillas – they definitely use a 6″ tortilla. I used the La Banderita Carb Counter Snack Size because I am counting macros.
- Eggs – each wrap has half a fried egg and you need to break the whole egg while cooking because the yolks are firm but the egg isn’t scrambled. Just use a fork and “pop” the egg yolks. Be sure to sprinkle with a little salt & black pepper too!
- Bacon – as I mentioned – they use 2 slices of pre-cooked bacon
- Sausage – pre-cooked breakfast sausage patties as well – each wrap has 1/2 sausage patty. You could also use turkey sausage.
- Cheese – you can use any slice of cheese – so feel free to swap with a better American or even Swiss, cheddar or pepper jack! “Real” cheese might take a bit longer to melt – FYI.

Make it Quicker & Easier
Now let’s talk about the cooking options – this copycat wake up wrap recipe is most closely aligned with how Dunkin serves it. You can make everything in a variety of ways – here’s a couple recommendations for each ingredient:
- Eggs – you’ve got options here – but most likely – you’ll fry the egg in a pan. That said – the microwave worked nicely! Again – just be sure to slightly break the yolk so it doesn’t explode!
- Use egg whites if you wanted to for a slightly healthier cooked egg.
- Use scrambled egg bake for an easy meal prep version
- Bacon – the precooked bacon is super easy and you don’t need to do anything but take out of the package and put it in! Feel free to cook your own bacon too or even use turkey bacon for a healthier version!
- Sausage – precooked patties make it pretty simple – and you’ll want to heat them up before adding them to the wrap. That said – you could use links, ground or fresh sausage patties as well!
- Cooking the Finished Wraps – if you’re making a batch of these for a family breakfast – you can also heat them in the oven at 350º for 10 minutes. You can also heat in a large skillet over medium heat, in the air fryer at 250º (my favorite – and it makes them golden brown!) or even just pop them in the microwave!

Wrap each in parchment or plastic wrap and store in a zipper bag in the fridge. Reheat in the microwave for 30 seconds – or in the air fryer (with parchment) at 250º for 4-5 minutes. The air fryer (or toaster oven) makes the tortilla a little crispy – but if you’re in a rush the microwave is fine! You can also store them “uncooked” if you’re prepping ahead of time.
