- The air fryer of course! The microwave is going to make them a soft and soggy mess! But high heat in the air fryer gives you that crispy texture just like they were fresh! The onions inside are perfect as well!
- You could also use a toaster oven. Place your batch of onion rings right on the wire rack or in the baking tray and heat.

How to Reheat Onion Rings in the Air Fryer
Onion rings are my favorite side dish – especially battered rings! So I frequently have leftovers to reheat. Here’s what you’ll do:
- Place leftover onion rings in the air fryer basket in a single layer
- Spritz onion rings with olive oil or spray lightly with non-stick cooking spray
- Air fry at 400º for 5 minutes
- Remove onion rings from air fryer with tongs and place on a paper towel to absorb any excess moisture.
- Serve with favorite dipping sauce!

I usually just throw them in the fridge in their takeout container. But you can also store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass ones) in the refrigerator for 1-2 days.
Yes – fresh or frozen onion rings are great in the air fryer! You an also reheat chicken nuggets, chicken wings and pizza in there too! It’s a great kitchen tool!
Not unless your air fryer requires it. I never do with my Paula Deen!
I spritz with olive oil and then air fry at a high heat like 400º. You could spray with vegetable oil as well if that’s what you have.
