What You Will ❤️ About Texas Roadhouse Seasoned Rice

  • Beefy Flavor – this seasoned rice is a perfect side dish for any Texas Roadhouse steak (and goes great with their TR Steak Seasoning!)
  • Easy to Make – i love to make easy side dishes! this one is simple to make and you don’t need any special appliances – just a saucepan!
  • Good Basic Rice – this is a great rice for stir fry veggies as well! I sauteed veggies and served them on the rice for an easy lunch!

Texas Roadhouse Rice Ingredients

This isn’t your normal boring Rice Pilaf – this rice dish has a beefy flavor and a bit of a kick! Here’s what you’ll need to make it:

  • White rice – I used jasmine rice – but you could also use basmati, long grain white rice or even brown rice
  • Butter – salted butter is my favorite for savory dishes
  • Beef stock – cooking rice in stock adds so much more flavor to the rice and you can tell when you taste it at TR that it has more than just water!
  • French onion soup – I chose this because of the pieces of onion in the rice – it took me to my previous uses of this canned soup.
  • Pantry Spices: Minced Onion, Chili Powder (or cayenne pepper), Paprika, Red pepper flakes
  • Fresh Parsley – you never think of parsley as having much flavor – but fresh parsley adds brightness to the flavor of this beefy rice.

Recipe Variations

This Texas Roadhouse Seasoned Rice recipe is great as-is – but if you’d like to make some changes or make it a meal – here are some ideas:

  • Change Rice – I used Jasmine but you could also use white rice or brown rice
  • Veggies – cook up a bag of peas and carrots or saute a diced bell pepper, celery & yellow onions and stir in for more of a rice pilaf
  • Chicken Broth – if you’re serving with chicken, cook rice in chicken broth instead for a little different flavor
  • Broccoli Beef – this side would be great topped with Broccoli Beef
