Tuna Melt Wrap Ingredients
A couple cans of tuna, some tortillas and pantry staples come together for a delicious quick lunch!
- Tortillas – I use the La Banderita Carb Counter tortillas for everything! But you can use traditional flour tortillas or even whole wheat if you’re not on a low carb diet
- Cheddar Cheese – I like the flavor contrast of sharp cheddar cheese on this melt but you could use colby jack or mild cheddar cheese
- You can use slices of cheese but shredded melts more quickly
- Tuna Salad – this is a tasty tuna salad recipe – very light and crunchy!
- white albacore tuna
- diced celery & diced onion
- sweet pickle relish
- mayonnaise
- Dijon mustard
- Seasonings: dill weed, salt, black pepper
- lemon juice

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Yes! You can make the tuna salad up to four days in advance. The flavors will taste better if they’ve had a chance to meld overnight. I would wait to make the wraps until ready to cook them.
Yes – you can swap out light mayonnaise, nonfat Greek yogurt or avocado in place of mayo.
No – mayo-based salads don’t freeze well.
Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass ones) in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or in the air fryer at 250º for 4-5 minutes.

Tuna Melt Variations
- Texas Style – Make it Texas-style by adding some spicy cheese like a jalapeno jack cheese and BBQ sauce
- BLT – Add bacon, lettuce leaves and tomato for more texture and crunch
- Spicy – Add Sriracha or Buffalo Wing Sauce to your tuna salad (swap out some of the mayo or mustard so it’s not too runny) for a spicy zing
- Healthier – leave out the mayo and swap with avocado or nonfat Greek yogurt and add veggies like spinach and tomatoes

This recipe was made using the Paula Deen Air Fryer.
