Recipe: Gourmet Butters

This post is sponsored by Thomas' English Muffins. All opinions are my own.

I've been a big fan of Thomas' English Muffins for years now! I frequently can be seen on local news stations hanging out with my favorite news anchors making yummy treats. (Today is no exception! Video to come...)

I've made sandwiches with these English Muffins many times - but this time - it's a topping I made in honor of National English Muffin Day (today!).  And what better topping is there than butter?

Actually - the five most popular English muffin toppings across the US are:

  1. Butter!
  2. Jelly/Jam
  3. Eggs
  4. Cheese
  5. Bacon
And of course - I can't really disagree with any of those! Hell - I've probably eaten one with all five on it!

The first butter I made was the Everything Bagel Butter. You can find the recipe below - or you can cheat and buy some Everything Bagel seasoning! (You can find it at Trader Joes: affiliate link.)

Gourmet butters are super easy - you just leave the butter out for a few hours - or even overnight - so it's nice and soft (real butter only) - then you just stir in your seasonings and you're done! After that - you drop it on some cellophane and roll it into a log - then twist the ends - and pop it in the fridge.

You might also wonder which states consumer the most English muffins? Well - that would be New York, California, Florida, Pennsylvania & New Jersey. But it doesn't matter where you're from - I know you'll like this zingy Mojito Butter! It's got mint, lime zest, lime juice and a little salt.

I loved this one - it's almost like the lime tortilla chips - when you top it on an English muffin - crunchy, salty and full of lime! I'm also a big fan of butter - butter and salt are pretty much the best condiments ever!

And just remember when you split open that Thomas' English muffin - don't use a knife! Just open it with your fingers or slide a fork in and pull it apart. A knife can ruin those perfect Thomas' Nooks and Crannies!

I hope you enjoy these two Gourmet Butter recipes - you can find more on the Thomas' site like Blue Cheese, Sage and Bacon which I made this morning on Fox 19!
