What You Will ❤️ About Candied Bacon Crackers
- Addictive! These little guys are so addictive! I promise you will NOT be able to eat just one!
- Candied Bacon! Just a little brown sugar and this bacon is candied!
- Creamy & Spicy – Cream cheese and a little tiny jalapeno slice put it over the top! These are so much more unique than just crackers and dip!

Ingredients for Candied Bacon Crackers
The perfect appetizer is only 6 ingredients away! I did all sorts of trials with these – with and without cream cheese, and made them in the oven and in the air fryer! But here are the essential ingredients:
- Rectangle club crackers – like Town House – I like these because they are the same shape as the bacon and cream cheese
- Thick cut bacon – you’ll want to use thick cut so it holds up in the oven
- Sweet BBQ Rub – I like Historic BBQ but use whatever BBQ seasoning you have or even a brush of BBQ sauce
- Brown Sugar – you could also drizzle with honey but I like brown sugar because I like a little bit of crunch on the bacon
- OPTIONAL: Cream Cheese – I list as optional and made both but think it tastes much better with the cream cheese. I liked them so much better with it! Be sure to keep it in the fridge until you’re ready to slice!
- OPTIONAL: Pickled Jalapeno Slices – this adds a tiny bit of spice to the cracker – but it also adds a little juice. It’s sort of like you need the pepper to contrast the cream cheese and the brown sugar.

How to make Candied Bacon Crackers
This snack will soon be a family favorite! Baking or smoking them lets all the flavors meld together on those salty buttery crackers! Here’s how to make them:
- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Lay club crackers in rows on parchment. (You can set them on a wire rack or a cooling rack over the parchment if you’d like.)
- Pull cream cheese from refrigerator and cut thin slices and place one slice on each cracker. It will be easier to cut if it’s cold vs. room temperature.
- Sprinkle cream cheese lightly with bbq rub – I like Historic BBQ Red.
- Cut each slice of bacon into fourths.
- Then top each piece of cream cheese with sliced bacon pieces. Sprinkle each piece of bacon lightly with brown sugar.
- Top brown sugar with a slice of pickled jalapeño
- Place baking sheet into preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the bacon is cooked through to your liking.
- Remove baking sheet from the oven and let rest for five minutes to firm up cream cheese and serve warm.

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass storage ones) in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat in the air fryer at 300º for 3 minutes or in the oven at 300º for 5 minutes.
Yes – do them at the same time and temp as the oven – 350º for 25-30 minutes.
Yes – air fry at 300º for 8 minutes with cream cheese or 6 minutes without.
You can make them in 15-20 minutes if you’re not adding cream cheese.
Yes – of course – I just like the Town House because they are rectangle like the cream cheese and the bacon.
