What You Will ❤️ About Frozen Sausage in the Air Fryer
- No mess! No skillet, no grease, no splatter, no pan. Pop a parchment liner in the bottom of the air fryer basket and just throw it away when you’re done!
- Quick! Frozen sausage patties are already cooked so you’re just thawing and heating. They’re done in five minutes of cook time!
- Delicious! They brown in the air fryer just like they would in a skillet and are a delicious breakfast side any morning!

This recipe was made using the Paula Deen Air Fryer.

Ingredients to make Sausage Patties in the Air Fryer
Well – you need frozen breakfast sausage patties. This isn’t rocket science. I like the Jimmy Dean brand but any brand will do. 😉 This recipe works the same for pork sausage patties, turkey sausage, chicken sausage or even plant-based “sausages”.

How to Make Air Fryer Breakfast Sausage Patties
My rule of thumb for an air fryer recipe of a frozen item is to look at the instructions – and then cook for the same temp and half the time as the oven directions. Here’s what you’ll do for these frozen pre-cooked sausage patties:
- PREP: Place frozen sausage patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer
- COOK: Cook sausages at 350º for five minutes, flip halfway thru.
- You can check internal temperature with a meat thermometer to be sure they are 160º if you’d like. They are already pre-cooked – so they are safe to eat.
- SERVE: Remove and serve these air fryer sausage patties on breakfast sandwiches, with pancakes, eggs or any of your favorite breakfast items!

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Cook frozen sausage patties for five minutes at 350º and be sure to flip halfway thru.
Yes! They will take about 10-12 minutes at 350º and you should flip halfway thru.
The same temp & time – 350º for 5 minutes – shake halfway to turn them.
Aluminum foil is safe to use in an air fryer but I prefer the parchment sheets with holes in them so the air can circulate around the food. That circulation is the main benefit of the air fryer!
Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass storage ones) in the fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 300º for 3 minutes or microwave for 30 seconds.
