Papa John’s Jalapeño Bites are so delicious! Little bites of soft & crunchy pizza crust rolled up with loads of cheese and jalapeños then dipped in ranch dressing!

What You Will ❤️ About Papa John’s Jalapeño Bites
- Best Combo – This is like combining cheesesticks with jalapeño popper rolls in one delicious appetizer!
- Cheaper! – You can make 4x the bites that you would get at Papa Johns for nearly the same $8!
- Spicy – The heat of the jalapeños is my favorite part – but no worries – it’s mellowed by the creamy Alfredo sauce!

Jalapeno Papa Bites Ingredients
Papa John’s makes my newest food crush with their original fresh dough. I bought a ball of pizza dough from the grocery store and it works great! Here’s what you’ll need:
- Pizza Dough – This is the dough I buy from Kroger. I leave it thaw in the fridge overnight. Also – be sure it’s room temperature before you start the recipe!
- Alfredo sauce – I used a jarred sauce for this but you can also make your own – you’ll find a delicious recipe for Alfredo sauce in this recipe for Papa John’s Chicken Alfredo Bowl. You only need half that for this recipe.
- Shredded provolone cheese – you can also use Mozzarella if you like
- Pickled jalapeno slices – Use as many or as few as you like depending on your spice tolerance
- Ranch dressing for dipping – I like to make my own Ranch dressing from the mix. You can also make a Jalapeno Ranch!

Variations for Papa John’s Papa Bites
Papa John’s has three varieties of their new Papa Bites on their menu – and I’ve tried them all! This new sharable side comes in these flavors:
- Jalapeño Papa Bites – filled with jalapeno, creamy alfredo sauce and cheese served with ranch dressing
- Oreo Cookie Papa Bites– filled with Oreo cookies and drizzled with Philadelphia cream cheese icing
- Chicken Parmesan Papa Bites – filled with chicken and Parmesan cheese and served with pizza sauce

How to make Jalapeno Papa Bites
This unique take on cheese bread is easy to make – and you get to play with pizza dough! Here’s what to do:
- Preheat oven to 380º
- On a baking sheet, add a piece of parchment paper and sprinkle with 2 tbsp flour.
- On baking sheet, roll out pizza dough into a large rectangle – 9×13”. If dough is still cold, let it sit for 10 min and come back – it will become more pliable.
- Using a pizza cutter, slice rectangle in half lengthwise to make two rectangles
- Spread Alfredo sauce onto dough
- Top Alfredo with cheese and jalapeños
- Roll rectangle from wide side into a log and press to seal the edge
- Using a sharp knife, slice log into 2” “bites”
- Spread bites out to be evenly spaced on baking sheet.
- OPTIONAL: melt 1 tsp minced garlic with 2 tbsp butter and baste over top of log before you slice it
- Bake for 20 minutes until dough is golden brown
- OR Air fry at 380º for 7 min
- Serve with ranch dressing for dipping

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass ones) in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat in the microwave for 30 seconds or in the air fryer at 250º for 4-5 minutes.
They will vary in price depending on your location – here in the Cincinnati area they are $8 for 8 bites.
Yes – but I would recommend cooking at 380º for 7 minutes as they cook much quicker! You’ll likely need to cook them in batches as well because of the size of the air fryer basket.
