Papa Johns Papadia is one of their most popular dishes with new flavors coming out all the time! This Papadia recipe is for their current Cheesy Burger Papadia – loaded with seasoned ground beef, tomatoes, pickles, melty cheese and burger sauce!

What You Will ❤️ About Cheeseburger Papadias
- Burger Sauce – loved getting to make this burger sauce to go with the Papadia – its tangy, sweet and creamy! And it’s NOT the Big Mac sauce!
- Cheeseburger Flavor – Every bite will make you think you’re eating the best cheeseburger of your life!
- Family Favorite! Change up burger night by making it a pizza + burger night!

Cheesy Burger Papadia Ingredients
Think of everything you want on the perfect cheeseburger – that’s what you’ll put on this Papadia recipe. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Naan bread ovals – you can use pizza crust but Naan bread is a great quick & easy substitute for pizza dough
- Hamburger – I only needed 1/2 pound to make 2 very filling papadias!
- Lawry’s seasoning salt – you can use your favorite hamburger seasoning – even just salt & black pepper – but I like Lawry’s for these types of recipes
- Burger sauce
- Duke’s mayonnaise – for the burger sauce – only the best!
- Ketchup – always delish!
- Pickle Juice – just open the jar of pickles and pour a little in!
- Lawry’s seasoning salt – more magic!
- Dill pickle slices – I had the long sandwich slices so I just chopped smaller
- Roma tomatoes – you’ll need two Roma or 1 large tomato
- Shredded mozzarella cheese & provolone cheese – use your favorite pizza blend
Optional: Homemade Pizza is very customizable – so make your Papadia your own! Change up the Cheeseburger and add more “pizza toppings” you like: sausage, pepperoni, green bell pepper, garlic powder, diced onions, Italian seasoning, mushrooms, etc.

Recipe Variations
At Papa John, the Papadia is a popular menu item – so popular they have multiple varieties all the time! If you’re not familiar, it’s basically an Italian folded flatbread sandwich – so here are a few ideas for you!
- Philly Cheesesteak – check out the filling from this Philly Cheesesteak recipe – and fill up your Papadia with steak, green peppers and provolone cheese
- BBQ Chicken & Bacon – shred chicken thighs and toss in BBQ sauce then add cooked bacon, red onions and – of course – cheese!
- Buffalo Chicken – just make my Buffalo Chicken Flatbread and fold it over!
- Meatball Pepperoni – meatballs, pizza sauce & pepperoni – similar to my Meatball Wrap!

How to make Papa Johns Papadia
This is really like making an easy pizza and then fold it over! How do I know? Cuz I tried it and I opened it up and dissected it! Here’s how to make it:
- Preheat oven to 425º
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper
- In a medium bowl, mix together mayo, ketchup, pickle juice & 1/2 tsp Lawry’s. Stir and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef with 1 tsp Lawry’s seasoning salt. Drain and set aside.
- Lay out naan bread on cookie sheet.
- Spread thin layer of burger sauce onto naan
- Top each naan with ground beef, tomatoes, pickles and a sprinkle of cheese.
- Bake for 10 minutes until cheese is melted
- Remove from oven, fold small half over top of larger half and serve!
