Air Fryer Gnocchi is such a delicious surprise! You will love these little crunchy pillows of yum – especially when they’re tossed in garlic and Parmesan cheese and dipped in your favorite marinara sauce.
The outside is golden brown with the perfect crispy texture while the inside is creamy and fluffy – almost like mashed potatoes.

What You Will Love About Gnocchi in the Air Fryer
I’ve usually had gnocchi in a pasta sauce but the air fryer transforms gnocchi into a crispy, fluffy snack! In just 12 minutes, these little guys give you a delicious crunchy appetizer or side dish.

Air Fryer Gnocchi Ingredients
My normal recipe for gnocchi is this Red Thai Curry Gnocchi (which is amazing) – so having it this way with more Italian ingredients was new for me – but I loved it! Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 lb gnocchi – you can use shelf-stable gnocchi, refrigerated or frozen gnocchi. If using frozen – you might need to add a couple of minutes onto the cook time.
- I purchased Potato Gnocchi – but you could also use sweet potato or Trader Joe’s cauliflower gnocchi
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil – you could swap and use melted butter or vegetable oil
- If you want to cut back on the oil, you can spray with cooking spray before seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt – I use this coarse ground garlic salt and LOVE IT!!
- 2 tbsp fresh grated Parmesan – PLEASE get fresh Parm – it’s got so much more flavor than the pre-grated stuff!!!
- 1/2 cup marinara – I used this Just Like Home Marinara – so good!
- You could also serve with a side of pesto or alfredo cheese sauce!

This recipe was made using the Paula Deen Air Fryer.

How to Make Gnocchi in the Air Fryer
Whether you’re having this gnocchi as an appetizer or even pairing it with a salad for dinner – you will love how quick and easy it is!
- In a large bowl, toss gnocchi with olive oil and garlic salt until evenly coated
- Spread gnocchi in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 380º for 12 minutes. Open halfway thru and shake to toss gnocchi. Shut air fryer and continue to cook gnocchi.
- While gnocchi are cooking, warm marinara in a saucepan or the microwave
- Remove gnocchi when they are golden brown. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with grated parmesan and serve with warmed tomato sauce for dipping

I’ve owned 5 air fryers! I get one – use it – then find a new one that I want to try and re-gift the last one. My favorite BY FAR is the Paula Deen 10 QT Digital Air Fryer. It’s huge, has a super easy to clean non-stick tray, does not need to be preheated and comes in pretty colors!
