What You Will Love About Air Fryer Ham Steak

Ham is just so versatile and easy!!! It’s already cooked so you’re just warming it up – it’s got a smoky deliciousness that can’t be beat. On a sandwich, in pasta, in a fried rice – or just on it’s own – ham steak cooks in minutes and is always tasty!

The other thing I like about buying and eating ham (and any kind of pork!) is that I know I’m helping farmers. All the pork you buy is raised by real farmers on farms in Wisconsin and across the US!

I’ve been to quite a few pig farms – and the advances in technology and farming are pretty cool. It all goes together to make healthier pork for us! Today’s pork has 16% less fat and 27% less saturated fat than pork from 30 years ago. Thankfully – it still has all the flavor!

Air Fryer Ham Steak Recipe Variations

This amazing comfort food meal can also be switched up with just a few ingredients:

  • Honey Butter – In a small bowl, combine melted butter & honey in the microwave. Brush the melted butter mixture on as a glaze. Maple syrup would also be a very tasty alternative!
  • Plain – If you’re not in the mood for that sweetened ham, leave off the pineapple & brown sugar
  • Grilled Ham & Cheese – If it’s plain, add a slice of cheese for the last minute and let it melt a little. Then serve on toast for a grilled ham & cheese.
  • Cuban – Top it with Swiss cheese, pickles and dijon mustard and put on a bun for a Cuban-style sandwich.
