Don’t miss these tips to be sure your Cinnamon Butter is identical to Texas Roadhouse:
- Don’t Cheap Out on the Butter
- This recipe is all about the butter! You don’t want to get cheap butter. I would suggest Land O’Lakes or better! Also forgo the unsalted butter. Salted butter makes the recipe better!
- Mix It Well
- To get the best, fluffiest texture, I suggest using a hand mixer! But a silicone spatula and some effort will get you to a closer result if you’re willing to do the work!
- Don’t Be Afraid to Branch Out
- This butter is so delicious that you’re going to want to eat it on everything, and I say that you should! This butter isn’t just for your rolls. I would suggest melting it into your sweet potatoes (Roadhouse does!) or spreading it on your stuffing at your Thanksgiving dinner! If you think the butter should go on something, do it!

What is Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Butter made of?
The ingredients are super simple and you likely already have them on hand:
- Butter – I like to use salted butter
- Cinnamon – I prefer Saigon Cinnamon – I think it has the best flavor in dishes
- Powdered Sugar
- Honey – Did you know using local honey (from your own area) can help bolster your immune system? Something about the bees and the pollen – I’m still learning but I love this!
Supplies Used
- Glass Jars – these jars are perfect for putting your finished butter in!
- Hand Mixer – this hand mixer is so helpful for making sure your butter has the perfect airy texture!
- Silicone Spatula – I have a cup full of silicone spatulas and these are my favorite that would be perfect for a recipe like this one!

How do you make Cinnamon Butter?
It’s very easy to make – the longest part of the job is just letting the butter soften!
- SOFTEN the butter – let the room do the work for you! Be sure to let it soften at room temperature. Do NOT use the microwave! It will liquify and mess with the consistency. Patience is a virtue with this one.
- MIX softened butter, cinnamon, powdered sugar and honey in a large bowl.
- USING a rubber spatula or a hand mixer – mix and mash all the ingredients together
- SPOON into an air tight container or you can spoon it onto plastic wrap and roll into a log. Then you can twist the ends and store in the refrigerator.
