Recipe: Party Time Ham & Cheese Sliders

June 14, 2018 · FoodHussy · Leave a Comment

This post is sponsored by Prime Fresh. All opinions are my own.
My hubby is all about deli meat – he’s not much for cooking and he really just wants to eat sandwiches all the time. So I was excited to find the new Prime Fresh Deli Meats by Smithfield. And I have a great recipe for sliders that I can use the next time I have friends over!!!
These sliders are so easy – you can eat them hot or col – use ham or turkey – or both! Prime Fresh has 6 varieties – with Honey Ham, Smoked Ham, Smoked Turkey, Oven Roasted Turkey, Rotisserie Seasoned Chicken and Roast Beef.

Prime Fresh is available at Kroger and you can find it near the Smithfield bacon in the refrigerated section. Prime partnered with blogger Girl Carnivore to show us how to make these simple sliders:

Kita from Girl Carnivore is a food writer and recipe developer who’s knocking down barriers on the food scene and delivering quality carnivorous recipes to aspiring cooks and savory enthusiasts who want to play with food as much as she does.

PARTY TIME HOT HAM AND CHEESE SLIDERS

These sliders are perfect for any gathering – served hot or cold – you’ll love them!
prep time: 15 minscook time: total time: 15 mins

ingredients:

ü  1 package fluffy dinner rolls or Hawaiian style rolls, about 6 to 12 rolls depending on size
ü 12 slices Prime Fresh Honey Ham or Oven Roasted Turkey
ü Dill pickles
ü Fresh herbs (chives preferred)
ü Tomato slices
ü 2 TBSP Mayo
ü Sliced Cheese (cheddar or Havarti)
ü Sliced red onion
ü Green leaf lettuce

instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Slice the rolls in half and place the bottom onto a baking dish.
Mix the mustard, mayo and black pepper together in a small bowl and spread evenly over the rolls.
Arrange the ham, folding the slices for volume over the rolls.
Next, add the slices of cheese evenly over the ham.
Place the roll tops back on to the sandwich and brush the melted butter atop. Crack freshly grated black pepper over the drizzled butter.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until sandwiches are heated through and cheese is melted.
Chef’s Note: Elevate your favors by mixing in a variety of good cheeses. Havarti, Gouda, and Horseradish Cheddar are personal favorites!
