Tyson Popcorn Chicken in the air fryer is one of my favorite quick go-to meals and the air fryer makes it even quicker and easier! Pop it in – shake halfway through and you’re done! Plus I made a quick dipping sauce for an extra creamy zip!

What You Will ❤️ About Air Fryer Popcorn Chicken
- Quick – In your air fryer, popcorn chicken is hot and ready in just 10 minutes!
- Versatile – Top your salad with it, toss it in a spicy chile sauce for a copycat appetizer, or make it as a snack for a quick protein bump!
- Double It Up – Throw french fries or tots in with the chicken and all you need is a side salad!

This recipe was made using the Paula Deen Air Fryer.

Ingredients for Air Fryer Popcorn Chicken
I used Tyson Frozen Popcorn Chicken for this recipe – but you could also use Banquet, Kirkwood (Aldi), Foster Farms or any other brand of popcorn chicken.
- 12 oz Tyson Any’tizers Popcorn Chicken – you don’t want to crowd the chicken too much so I recommend cooking a half bag of Tyson chicken. If you’re serving with fries/salad – a half bag will serve 4 people.

How to make Popcorn Chicken in the Air Fryer
When you air fry popcorn chicken you still get that crispy texture without deep-frying! It’s great!
- Remove Popcorn Chicken from the freezer
- Place 1/2 bag chicken bites into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes, flipping chicken halfway through the cooking process.
- While the chicken is cooking, in a small bowl mix together 3 tbsp mayonnaise and 3 tbsp bbq sauce
- Once chicken is crispy and has an internal temperature of 165 degrees, remove from basket and serve while hot and dip in your bbq sauce.

2 Ingredient Dip Ideas
I’ve got lots of great recipes for dipping sauces – but sometimes you just wanna grab, squeeze and go! Here are four 2-ingredient chicken dip ideas:
- Barbecue Sauce & Mayo
- Ranch & Buffalo Wing Sauce
- Salsa & Sour Cream
- Honey & Yellow Mustard
- Ketchup & Mustard

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass ones) in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat in the air fryer at 300º for 4 minutes.
Nah – unless your air fryer requires preheating – you don’t need to do it. It might save you a minute or two but it’s not worth it.
If you’re making the whole 24 oz bag – you might – or you can just shake it more often for even cooking.
Nuggets will take less time – I always start in the air fryer by looking at the oven directions and go with the same temperature and half the time.
