What You Will Love About Fingerling Potatoes in the Air Fryer
These little crispy guys are delicious and super simple to make! I love that they’re such an easy side dish to make and you can make them on one side of your air fryer and pop something like a chicken breast or a pork chop on the other side. Dinner – done!

Air Fryer Fingerling Potatoes Ingredients
The main thing you need here are the potatoes – aside from that – use your favorite seasonings. I like a little garlic, a little spice and a little cheese – so here’s what I used:
- 10 fingerling potatoes (or golden, fingerling, etc – anything small)
- 2 tsp garlic salt – you can swap with garlic powder if you like a little less salt
- 1/2 tsp chipotle seasoning
- 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (you can make this vegan if you leave out the dairy – but I like cheese!)
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil – this helps the crispness of the potatoes like you’d get in the oven

How to Make Fingerling Potatoes in the Air Fryer
These potatoes are so easy to make – slice – toss – fry! Here we go:
- Slice potatoes in half lengthwise
- In a medium bowl, mix together 1 tsp garlic salt, chipotle seasoning, Parmesan cheese and 2 tbsp olive oil
- Add potatoes to bowl and toss in olive oil mixture
- Place potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket
- Air Fry at 360º for 8 minutes cut side up
- Open air fryer and shake to toss. Drizzle on remaining olive oil & garlic salt.
- Air fry 8 minutes more
- Serve with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and a little sour cream

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Sure! I never soak potatoes and they come out crispy every time. Soaking potatoes can pull out some of the starch which will make them more crispy when you air fry. I would probably only do this if I was making french fries.
If you’re slicing them in half – they’ll take about 15 minutes.
Store leftovers in an airtight container and keep in refrigerator for up to a week. Spritz with olive oil and reheat in the air fryer for 3-4 minutes.

Variations
Fingerling potatoes can take on a variety of seasonings – here are some other options:
- Less spice – swap the chipotle seasoning for black pepper
- Fresh herbs – I have an AeroGarden and love growing herbs in my kitchen like fresh rosemary, thyme and parsley
- Oil – don’t have olive oil? Swap with vegetable oil or avocado oil. Go lighter with the avocado oil as it has a heavier taste.
- Dipping Sauce – Use the garlic aioli from these fries as a dipping sauce for your potatoes.
