Pickle Ranch Salad Dressing Ingredients

Very simple ingredients

  • 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning Mix (3 tbsp)
    • If you want to make your own ranch – here’s a great Ranch Recipe loaded with spices like garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, chives, dried parsley, salt and pepper!
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk – if you’re looking for more of a ranch dip than a dressing – you can swap sour cream or Greek yogurt for the buttermilk
  • 1 cup mayonnaise – I prefer Duke’s mayo
  • 24 oz jar of dill pickles – yeah – I used the WHOLE JAR!!!
    • Want more zip? Use the ZESTY dills!
  • 2 tbsp dill pickle juice – from the jar
  • OPTIONAL: add some fresh dill if you have it! That will add a pop of fresh taste!

How to make Dill Pickle Ranch Dressing

I just got this kick-a$$ Vitamix – so I used it to make this dressing. You could also grate your pickles and then whisk the dressing together in a bowl – or use a food processor. Here’s how I made it:

  1. In a blender, add ranch seasoning mix, buttermilk, mayo, pickles (no juice) and measured pickle juice.
  2. Blend on high for 30 seconds
  3. Refrigerate overnight and serve

This recipe was made using the Vitamix A3500.

Uses for Pickle Ranch Dressing

Besides a salad – there are lots of ways to enjoy this zippy pickle ranch! Here are some of my favorites:

  • Veggies – it’s a great dressing for salad or a dip for cauliflower, cucumbers, radishes & broccoli!
  • Fries – I love bacon cheese french fries drizzled with ranch
  • Potato Chips – dip those salty chips in this tangy dill pickle ranch
  • Cole Slaw – use it as a cole slaw dressing – mix it with shredded cabbage, carrots and onion for a ranchy slaw!

Tips, Tricks & FAQs

Is pickle ranch a thing?

Heck yeah! It’s a phenomenon and so delicious! Plus the dill in dill pickles goes really well with ranch because it’s got dill in it!

How do you store and reheat leftover ranch dressing?

Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass Mason Jar ones) in the fridge for up to 4 weeks. The pickle juice will separate a bit – so shake before using. (Be sure that lid is on tight.)
