The New Dominos Loaded Tater Tots are a new menu item but you can make them at home and they are even more delicious! I went for the Philly Cheese Loaded Tots first – you’ve got crunchy tater tots topped with shaved steak, cheesy Alfredo sauce, crunchy onions and green pepper slices and then topped with a blend of mozzarella & cheddar cheeses.

What You Will ❤️ About Dominos Loaded Tots
- Crunchy & Cheesy – No matter which Loaded Tots you make – they’re all going to have the crunch of the tots and the melty of the cheese!
- Customizable – add your favorite pizza toppings and make them however you like!
- Easy – Bake your tots and then add the toppings for the last five minutes!
- Fun – Any variety of these loaded tots are great for your next party spread! They’re fun to reach in and grab a few tots and enjoy!

Domino’s Philly Cheese Steak Loaded Tots Ingredients
Domino’s Pizza added these Loaded Tots as one of their new appetizers recently – but I made them at home! Here’s what you’ll need:
- Tater tots – you can also use any kind of fried potatoes you want: crispy crowns, hash browns or even fries – because unlike the ones from Dominos – there’s no 25-minute delivery time!
- Thin slices of steak – you can find Shaved Steak at most grocery stores – these tender slices of steak are great for a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich or these tots!
- Olive oil – I always use EVOO – this decanter is my go-to!
- Fresh Onions and Green Peppers – gotta love the crunch here! Mushrooms would be a perfect addition to these tots too!
- Alfredo sauce – I just used a jarred alfredo to make it simple!
- Mozzarella Cheese & Cheddar Cheese – Mozzarella is a must – but provolone would also be tasty because it’s a very melty cheese as well!

Recipe Variations
Top these tots however you like with the best parts of pizza – the hearty toppings!!! Grab all the cheese, meats and veggies! These ideas are a fun twist for this overall crowd-pleaser: that will taste BETTER than Domino’s new loaded tots:
- Cheddar Bacon Loaded Tots – diced smokey bacon, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses and a garlic Parmesan sauce.
- Melty 3-Cheese Loaded Tots – Top those tots with cheese! Dominos uses mozzarella, cheddar, provolone cheese and creamy Alfredo sauce for their cheesy tots
- Taco Tots – sprinkle on taco meat and queso – then top with lettuce, tomatoes & sour cream
- Deluxe Loaded Tots – load it up like your favorite pizza – mine would be pizza sauce, mini-pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives and mozzarella cheese

How to make Philly Cheesesteak Loaded Tots
No need to head to your nearest Domino’s location – These loaded tots are so easy to make AT HOME and are a great appetizer or main dish! Bake your tots, top them with a blanket of toppings and then bake to melt the cheese! You will definitely need a fork for these tots!
- Preheat oven to 425º.
- On a baking sheet, spread out tater tots in a single layer. Bake in oven for 15 minutes. Remove tots from oven and flip tots. Bake for another 15 minutes.
- After flipping tots, over high heat, add olive oil to a cast iron skillet. Add in shaved steak in two batches – you don’t want to crowd the skillet. Sear for 2-3 minutes just until pink is gone. Remove and set aside in a bowl.
- Once steak is done, add fresh green peppers and onion slices to same skillet and saute for 4-5 min until softened. Remove from heat and add to steak.
- Remove golden brown potato tots from the oven. Pour light layer of Alfredo sauce over tater tots. Spread steak, onions and peppers over top of Alfredo sauce. Lastly, top all tots with shredded cheese.
- Place back in oven for five minutes to melt the cheese.
- Remove and serve with a drizzle of ranch.

Looks delicious!
If you recommend using an air fryer to reheat the Tots, WHY, WHY, WHY? doesn’t the entire recipe utilize an air fryer? I understand pre-frying the veggies, etc, BUT using an air fryer makes for crispier Tots & a faster prep.
Well not everyone has an air fryer – so the oven is most common way of cooking tots. Also it does make it easier for a whole baking sheet vs having to do it in batches in an air fryer. I do mention the AF for reheating because it’s my favorite tool and a suggestion. Glad you love your air fryer as much as I do!
