What You Will ❤️ About Strawberry Peach Cobbler
- Thanks Mom – This dessert is based off my Mom’s famous peach cobbler recipe – it’s what helped launch my blog. Everyone that tries it says they’ll never make another cobbler again!
- Sugar Crust – The fruit filling and cake topping are yum – but what MAKES this recipe is the MAGIC sugar crust. Your guests will NEVER forget it! I love the CRUNCH when you scoop out the first spoonful from the crisp topping!
- Fresh or Frozen Fruit – I love this recipe because it’s so easy – just dump the fruit in the baking dish and top with the batter! You can use fresh or frozen fruit and you can substitute any fruit you like – apples, blueberries, blackberries – its just perfect every time!
Ingredients for Strawberry Peach Cobbler
Super simple and fresh ingredients make up this delicious Strawberry Peach Cobbler. This cobbler recipe is my absolute favorite!
- Frozen Peaches – I love using frozen peach slices because they’re ripe and already peeled, trimmed and have the skin removed. You can use fresh peaches if you like. I don’t like using canned as they get a little too soft.
- Fresh or Frozen Strawberries – you can use fresh or frozen berries – I used fresh because they’ve been pretty good at the store lately. I quartered the berries but you could also slice – whatever you like.
- Granulated White Sugar & Brown Sugar – You can use brown or white sugar for both sugar needs in this recipe – I like to mix it up and use both!
- Softened Butter – leave your butter out overnight so it’s nice and soft to mix
- Salt – just a pinch in a couple places in the recipe
- Flour – regular All Purpose flour is fine
- Baking Powder – this will lighten and give the cobbler topping height
- Milk – any milk will do – I’m a 2% girl but you could use skim or half and half
- Cornstarch – this helps keep the sugar from clumping and helps create the MAGIC crust!
- Boiling Water – the secret ingredient to the MAGIC!
How to make Peach & Strawberry Cobbler
I barely need a recipe for this anymore because I’ve made it so many times! Spread your fruit – mix together the batter – then the MAGIC SUGAR CRUST! Trust me – eating it while it’s warm and that crust is crunchy – everybody will love it!!!
- Spray 9×13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and preheat oven to 375
- Arrange sliced peaches and sliced strawberries in bottom of baking dish
* If using canned peaches be sure and drain the peach juices/syrup off really well. If using frozen, just toss them in frozen - In a medium bowl, cream 1 1/4 cup sugar with 3/4 cup butter using a hand mixer – sugar will be fully incorporated into butter and it will be creamy like softened butter
- Add dry ingredients (salt, flour, baking powder) and milk to make a batter if your batter isn’t spreadable – add a little more milk
- Spread the cobbler batter over fruit
- In a separate bowl, stir 3/4 cup sugar, cornstarch and a pinch of saltFeel free to add a teaspoon cinnamon here if you like!
- Sprinkle sugar mixture evenly over batter
- Microwave 1/3 cup water for 1 minute so it’s boiling
- Pour boiling water over ALL of sugar – this is where the MAGIC happens! Be sure to drizzle the water over all of the sugar so every grain is covered with water!
- Bake at 375 for 60 minutes or until the cobbler topping is done. Check with a spoon in the middle of just the topping to see if it’s baked through. Should be golden brown on top and a cake like texture inside. Don’t worry about sticking a spoon in – just do it delicately and it will bounce back.
- Spoon onto a plate, top with vanilla ice cream and serve to your drooling family!

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass ones) in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes depending on portion size. If you have a large amount, you can reheat in the air fryer or oven.
You can use either but I 100% think frozen are better!

My family of 5 adults and a (very cute!) 2 year old, polished off 4/5 of the 9X13 pan for dessert on Family Night … and the oldest son took home the last piece to take for his work lunch the next day. I’d say this was a HIT 🙂 Thank you for sharing such an easy and delicious recipe! I’ll be trying it with different fruit combinations, and in the summer we’ll have raspberries, strawberries and rhubarb from our garden for more flavour combos!
