How to Serve Twinkies in the Air Fryer
Hostess Twinkies are already a sweet treat and a classic American snack but if you’d like something on the side – here are a few ideas:
- Ice Cream!!! Vanilla, chocolate or any other cream would go great with this simple Twinkie recipe!
- Sauce!! I used chocolate sauce – but you could easily add a drizzle of raspberry sauce, caramel, nutella or melted peanut butter!
- Fruit!!! Chopped strawberries with a little sugar on them would be delicious and like a fun take on Strawberry Shortcake!

Tips, Tricks & FAQs
Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass ones) in the refrigerator or on the counter for 1-2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 3 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Sure you can use pancake batter and dip your twinkies into it – then deep fry in vegetable oil. I would not recommend air frying batter – it blows around a lot. I did use a thinner batter when I did my Air Fryer Oreos – if you’d like to use that as a base!
