What’s in the southwest senorita at Chicken Salad Chick?

The Southwest Senorita has simple ingredients that add crunch, creaminess and bold flavors!!! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast – you need 2 cups of shredded chicken which is about 2 medium sized chicken breasts
  • Duke’s Mayonnaise – Remember the olden days of Miracle Whip? NOPE – me either!
  • Celery & Onion Powder – these are the only real additions for the basic CSC salad
  • Poblano Pepper – you only need 2 tablespoons but be mindful – these vary on spiciness and I forgot to wash my hands after chopping. You can DM for ways to cool your skin! 😉
    • You could swap a jalapeno or even bell pepper if you were in a pinch.
  • Corn – I got a can of corn because I only needed 3 tablespoons – but I’ll add the rest to salad later this week.
  • Cheddar Cheese – you’ll need just 1/4 cup of shredded – I like sharp cheddar but you can use whatever orange cheese you have
  • Southwest Seasoning – after doing some research – southwest = taco. You’re looking for a combo of chile powder, cumin, paprika, garlic, salt, pepper and maybe a little coriander – all of which are in taco seasoning!

  • 2 tbsp poblano peppers diced
  • 3 tbsp sharp cheddar grated
  • 1/4 cup whole kernel corn
