How do I cook Frozen Chicken Nuggets in an Air Fryer
- Place frozen nuggets on air fryer trays. Be sure to leave space between nuggets and keep in a single layer.
- My air fryer comfortably fit 16 chicken nuggets – I probably could have squeezed a few more in but if you’re making a whole box you might need to cook in batches.
- If you are using an air fryer oven style machine – you can probably fit more in one batch.
- No need for any oil spray!
- Air fry at 400º for 8 minutes
- Remove chicken nuggets from air fryer and serve with your favorite dipping sauces.

You could test them with an instant read thermometer and check them to see if they’re 165º. That said – they’re already pre-cooked – so just pick them up – if they’re hot – they’re done.
I recommend only cooking what you plan on eating but you can save the leftovers. Store leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate up to a week. Reheat in air fryer for 5 minutes at 400º.
You can definitely throw french fries or tater tots in with your chicken nuggets. They may take a few minutes longer than your nuggets. So start the fries or tots and cook for 3-4 minutes – then add in your chicken nuggets. You could also add these chicken nuggets to a salad for a healthy lunch!
I’ve tried quite a few brands and actually like the Kroger brand Chicken Nuggets the best! They’re meaty with a crunchy breading and cheaper than Tyson chicken nuggets!
