Making Aldi Red Bag Chicken in the Air Fryer is so simple and you can make lots of dinners with these frozen breaded chicken breasts! This “RBC” as it’s known by the Aldi Fan Club is a favorite – it’s really tasty!

What You Will ❤️ About Aldi Red Bag Chicken
- Versatility – I love that you can use these chicken breasts for sandwiches, on salads or pastas and even in other dishes!
- Easy to Make – With the air fryer – ten minutes and they’re done!
- Convenient – I love grabbing them out of the freezer any time I’m hungry but don’t want fast food. Takes less time than Door Dash for sure!

This recipe was made using the Paula Deen Air Fryer.

Air Fryer Aldi Red Bag Chicken
The ingredients here are pretty simple – you need the red bag of chicken. The bag of Kirkwood breaded chicken breast fillets actually can be hard to find – it’s become so popular in the Aldi Facebook Groups – they’re often sold out! I like these better than a chicken patty because they’re actual chicken breasts.
If you’re looking for Chicken Tenders – those are in the GREEN bag and the Chicken Strips are in the BLUE bag! Buffalo Chicken Strips are in the ORANGE bag and Honey Battered Breasts are in the YELLOW bag. So many choices!
The Kirkwood brand also touts no added hormones or steroids.

How to Use Aldi Red Bag Chicken
There are so many ways to serve these guys – here are my favorite dinner ideas for breaded chicken fillets:
- Chicken sandwich – Serve on brioche buns, with mayo and pickles just like a copycat Chick-fil-A sandwich! Add cheese, tomatoes and lettuce to make it extra fancy!
- Salad – Slice breaded chicken breast into strips and serve on your favorite salad!
- Pasta – Serve on top of a cheesy pasta dish!
- Chicken Parmesan – skip the work and use it for chicken parmesan and serve over spaghetti with marinara sauce!
- Wraps – I’ve got a few recipes for Roly Poly style wraps and you could easily sub out grilled chicken with this breaded chicken.

How to make Aldi Red Bag Chicken in your Air Fryer
The Red Bag only has oven and microwave instructions – but now with air fryers – this is the best way to make them. (you can also make popcorn chicken in the air fryer too!) Here’s what to do:
- Take your Red Bag of chicken out of the freezer
- Place 4 chicken breast filets into the air fryer basket. Air fry at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes, flipping chicken halfway through the cooking process.
- Once chicken is crispy, and has an internal temperature of 165 degrees, remove from basket and serve while hot.
