Step 1: Make the TikTok Ranch Pickles

This idea for Ranch Dill Pickles showed up on TikTok a while back (that’s that social media the kids use) and I had to try it out!

How to make the TikTok Pickles?

It’s very simple – you just open the jar of pickles and pour in the ranch seasoning! I buy the jar of ranch seasoning because I use it so much – so I put in 3-4 tablespoons in the jar of pickles. From there, put the lid on and shake and mix with the pickle juice.

Step 2: How to make Air Fryer Pickles

Those TikTok ranch pickles are perfect for fried pickles in the air fryer! This recipe is simple and delicious:

  • In a breading tray or shallow bowl – whisk together panko & ranch seasoning mix
  • Roll ranch pickles in bread crumb mixture
  • Lay pickle spears in a single layer in the air fryer basket
    • If you have a smaller air fryer – you make need to split out and make one batch at a time
  • Spritz with olive oil or cooking spray
  • Air fry at 350 for 6 minutes until they are golden perfection

This recipe was made using the Paula Deen Air Fryer.

Ranch Pickles

FAQ for Fried Pickles

Are Ranch Pickles good?

Yes!! I’ll admit, I was pretty skeptical if it would make a marked difference but it definitely did! There’s a creaminess that is typically the star of the ranch dressing and that’s what comes through in these Ranch Pickles. It mellows the tartness of the dill but still leaves you with that yummy crunchy bite.

Do I need to add salt & pepper to the seasoning?

No – the ranch seasoning mix already has plenty of seasoning!

Could I use other seasonings instead of ranch?

Sure! Cajun seasoning or Zesty Italian dressing mix would be great too!

Do I need to pat the pickles dry before I bread them?

Nope! The pickle juice helps the breading stick so we don’t need to use any egg mixture to dip them in first.

How can I make these pickles spicier?

You can add cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the breading mixture for a spicy kick!

How to store and reheat leftover air fried pickles?

Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass ones) in the fridge for up to a week. Reheat in the air fryer at 375º for 2-3 minutes.
