Don’t miss these tips to be sure your sauce is identical to Raising Canes:
- Duke’s Mayonnaise is a non-negotiable
- While you can choose other brands, I recommend Duke’s for the most authentic experience. The tangy flavor it provides is the secret for making this sauce just like Cane’s!
- Let it rest
- Giving the sauce at least an hour in the fridge before serving allows all the flavors a chance to combine to make the most delicious experience!
- Lawry’s Seasoned Salt makes this recipe
- This is a blend of seasonings that are all crucial to making sure this is an authentic sauce. Replacing or forgoing it will make the recipe fall flat! This seasoning changes the game completely!

This homemade Raising Cane’s sauce recipe is so easy – you put everything in a bowl and whisk it together until it drizzles! I store it in a half-pint mason jar in the refrigerator. Tips, Tricks & FAQ
- What does Cane’s sauce taste like? Cane’s Sauce is tangy with a little bit of spice and full of flavor. It’s definitely creamy with hints of salt and garlic – so good! Perfect dipping sauce for their chicken, fries and that yummy bread!
- Is Raising Cane’s sauce vegetarian? Raising Cane’s sauce can be vegetarian but not vegan or dairy free. It’s made with mayo, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce (this can be vegetarian or not), hot sauce, garlic, Lawry’s seasoned salt and black pepper. And keep in mind – it’s best paired with chicken!
- Does this sauce need to be refrigerated? Yes – because of the mayo, Cane’s sauce does need to be refrigerated. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks. I just make small batches as I go. I prefer these mason jars.
